Sherra lasley “kate”

Sherra is a SAG actress/comedian from Chicago. She performed improv, sketch, and stand up for years there before relocating to Los Angles. She can be seen on numerous shows including ABC’s Detroit 1-8-7, the upcoming Everyone is Doing Great with James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, numerous Web Series and comedy sketches including Beautiful Mess and the reality spoof, Fix Yo Life. She loved the "if I go" script and encouraged Sean to produce it before stepping into the role of Kate. Though her career had primarily been in comedy before this production, she was excited to tackle this dynamic role. The emotionally challenging experience was wildly informative; influencing her aspirations as a performer and inspiring her to do more grounded work. She’s proud to be part of such an important, nuanced story and looks forward to the impact it might have on its audience. Thank you so much for your support!

dededrake

dede drake director

DeDe is a director, writer, and actor based in Los Angeles. She is a winner of Shootout’s 48 Hour Film Competition for Garyland, and Best Comedy at NHCF for Room Service. She was very excited to co-direct and mind-meld with the immensely talented Nina Ham, and is very proud of the work that the cast and crew put into this special film.

NinaHam

nina ham director/dp

Nina is a Canadian/Mexican Director/Dp originally from Vancouver Island by way of the midwest. She has shot for clients such as Barnes & Noble, Adobe, The Hollywood Reporter, and When We All Vote, Michelle Obama’s voting initiative. She is drawn to the collaborative nature of filmmaking, and loves the artistic challenges of visually conveying emotion, story and tone through camerawork. As cinematographer and one of the directors on "if I go," Nina especially enjoyed the experience of co-directing for the first time with DeDe Drake. The elements of sci-fi and magical realism combined with themes of isolation were what resonated the most with her and drew her to the film. This is her third collaboration with Sherra and Ashley.

In addition to working on "if I go" she is developing her first short documentary and producing content for PeopleTV.
